YouTube is only six years old and it now has over 3 billion views per day. That’s a 50% increase over last year.
In order for that to happen the number of videos uploaded increased substantially as well. So far in 2011, 48 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute. That is 6 times more than was uploaded per minute in 2007.
I’m most impressed with the speed at which consumers are willing to adopt new technology. YouTube didn’t even exist until May of 2005.
As a marketer you have to be asking yourself if you’ve adapted in the last six years to the many changes in consumer behavior.
