The Kelsey Group is reporting that for the first time they see the penetration of online media usage surpassing traditional media for small businesses.

We’ve seen this phenomenon reported in several different studies recently.  Most often it’s attributed to the recession and that retailers are looking more critically at their advertising expenditures and are finding value in online spending.

It’s also reported that now 36% of SMBs budgets are going to online up from 22% last year.

As brand managers working with local retailers it’s well time to give your retailers the tools they need to make the shift.
