Google Owns Mobile Search

Mobile search is special for those of us involved with local advertising as we can target to consumers who are looking for our product and are in close proximity to one of our best stores.  Target marketing doesn’t get much better than that.   What makes it even more appealing is that Google owns the market and therefore makes it easy to decide where to put your dollars.

From a blog post at BusinessInsider.com

Google has effectively monopolized the mobile search market. Google’s mobile search market share was 96.9 percent in May, according to Global StatCounter. For comparison, Google’s U.S. desktop search share was 66.7 percent last month, according to comScore (and probably even higher overseas).

Now the only decision is to make the effort to give your retailers the tools they need to promote your products on mobile search.

A modern online ad builder for retailers can make this happen by providing brand friendly templates that the dealer can customize and the system hosts the mobile landing pages so you can track the results.

Mobile search is cheaper, better and faster to use locally than any other digital marketing tool.
