Here’s are some interesting survey results from a recent eMarketer.com blog post.

For years coupons were the exclusive property of the print world and old habits are hard to change.

Now, according to this research, it takes combining mail, magazines and newspaper coupons to  come up with a percentage of consumers who prefer something else over the online delivery of  coupons.  

This chart then calls out the obvious reasons why consumers like digital over print.

For those of us involved in local marketing the real defining issue is how much more inexpensive and trackable online coupons are as compared to the printed version.  With online coupons we can post, change, track and react at a moment’s notice without any printing costs or delays.

Online coupons vs. Offline?  Online wins.
