QA Analyst
JGSullivan Interactive,
Inc. is looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented person who enjoys
digging into a problem in order to find a good solution. We're looking for an
excellent communicator who can work with the entire project team and assist in
bridging the gap between technical and non-technical language. We're looking
for someone who likes wearing many hats and who will jump in to help out when
they possess the right skill set -- and who will go out of their way to learn
new skills when they see there's a gap to be filled.
The "analyst" in the job
title should be an indicator that our QA people don't just sit around all day
clicking links. QA Analysts work closely with our Business Analysts and Project
Managers to understand how a web site or web application is supposed to
work, and then turn around and work equally closely with our Programmers and
Graphic Designers to make sure that it really does behave that way. Our QA
people use a combination of traditional exploratory and programmatic testing
techniques to verify web sites and applications, maintain a shared library of
test scripts, update documentation, and assist the support team as third-level
support.
Qualifications:
- This position is at or near
entry level, and we're looking for a smart person who will be a good fit and
grow with the company.
- An analytical mindset, a love of problem-solving, an intense
attention to detail, a sense of responsibility, pride in work well done, and the
ability to work with and communicate with the whole team.
- Experience with a scripting language, a general knowledge about web application usability and
design, and other technical skills are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree (or
equivalent) is required.
