Project Manager
Responsibilities would include:
- Coordinate project flow among members of project teams that include account management staff, software architects, programmers, graphics production staff, HTML production staff, quality assurance and others;
- Anticipate potential resource bottlenecks and work with management to address or avoid them;
- Hold team meetings for projects as necessary, encourage constant progress and report job status;
- Politely badger clients to hold up their end of the bargain on deliverables necessary to keep work moving;
- Develop reasonable scope expectations internally and externally during the course of the sales process and project development;
- Document and enforce the change management process as client needs grow during a project;
- Develop opportunities for ongoing client engagements by identifying areas for project growth;
- Work proactively with Account Management team to enable future sales ideas and efforts with existing clients;
- Monitor and manage progress, productivity, and profitability on all assigned clients and projects;
- Broker all key third party relationships between JGSI and other client vendors.
- Organizational skills to manage dozens of jobs among several major clients, assuring smooth workflow between various stages of production;
- Diplomacy to mediate priority conflicts between projects and account management staff;
- A cool head for the inevitable crises that pop up;
- Familiarity with Internet production technologies and methodologies to better empathize with the various production people you're shepherding;
- Impeccable written and verbal communications skills;
- An eye for details, and the dedication to pay attention to them.
Other useful skills would include:
- Knowledge of Gantt Charts and Visio;
- Knowledge of application development methodology, UML and any type of case tools software;
- The appreciation for and experience of running profitable custom software projects.
