Continue our lead in the Internet and New Media industry as our full time Java Developer. Enjoy collaborating with a highly motivated team, with primary responsibilities developing Java based web applications. Although we strive to maintain a fairly laid back environment, must be comfortable with meeting occasionally demanding deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills and creative problem solving will really benefit the team in times like these.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Struts and JDBC/SQL is a must. Major pluses are knowledge of Jakarta Common libraries, the Spring Framework, and/or Hibernate. Strong HTML expertise is assumed, and skill in Javascript/CSS/DHTML is greatly appreciated. Valued but not required is experience with system (Linux, Solaris) and server (Oracle, JBoss) administration.
  • Open source Java software is a substantial component of our development methodology, and we contribute code back to the libraries we use. A willingness to get inside the code for open source libraries is highly regarded.
  • While programming is the majority of this job, we are looking for someone who can provide intelligent technical support to our project managers, account executives, and business analysts as well. This is not simply a "heads down" position. You will have support from a team of smart and friendly senior developers, but you must be able to tackle new technologies and practices with a minimum of supervision.
  • Bachelors of Arts or Sciences required.

From either north or south, take Interstate 90/94. From 90/94 take the Ohio Street exit to the stoplight at Orleans.
